In 2008, we are launching our Friends Group, so that we can develop and expand our programme of events and activities, and include our supporters in running the theatre.

Having the Colour House as our home has been an important element to our survival and success and one that we hope to continue for many years to come.

The Colour House Children’s Theatre opened in the summer of 1995 in a stunning Grade II listed building situated on the banks of the historic River Wandle. The Children’s Theatre is an exciting and innovative venue dedicated to providing excellence in dramatic theatrical performance. We are proud to boast that, in the 13 years since opening, we have produced 63 originally adapted children’s shows, working with hundreds of aspiring graduate actors, with many aspiring writers, musical directors, set and scene makers and painters, costume makers, technicians and front and back of house workers. We also work with work experience students and volunteers who often stay with the theatre and build their own foundations into theatre life right here with us. Our audiences too have grown up with us…..a whole new generation.
