Set in 1964, "Be My Baby" follows the fortunes of Mary Adams, aged 19, unmarried and seven months pregnant. Sent to a Mother-and-Baby home, Mary and the other girls in the home have to cope with the shame of their pregnancy and the dawning realisation they must give up their baby for adoption. They find comfort in each others' friendship, but ultimately, they must face their individual tragedies alone.
The uplifting sounds of 60's girl-group pop sets the tone for this heart warming and touching play.
